Life Is A Journey

Hi there and welcome to my blog. Ije..... the journey.

Wow, I actually did it - I started blogging. Yayy!!!

Writing a blog is not something I naturally thought I would do, however over time I have realised it's something I can do. I've had a couple of people nudge me here and there to go for it, so here goes everything.

I am unapologetically Igbo (from the South East of Nigeria). Igbo kwenu! It's been said that if you go to a new place and do not find an Igbo man, leave immediately. Yup that's who we are. If you do not agree, well, sorry I can't help your ministry. This explains the title of my blog captured in my local language.

I'm not a professional writer so don't expect all the razzmatazz. I can promise you though that you would hardly find any typos here - I should have something to show for going to an amazing high school. If you know, you know.

So what is Ije all about. Ije means journey. Life is a journey and there are so many stories to tell about life. That's exactly what I hope to achieve with my blog. So one day we may blog about IjeUre which would be things in life's journey that have brought much pride. Other days we may blog about IjeUwa which would cover the harder, more painful things of life. For some of us you could want to stay on the lane where IjeBusomma which means it's always been a bed of roses. Again it could be a constant prayer IjeOma which simply means safe journey - a prayer that captures it all, wishing you well through this journey called life.

Whichever category you fall under, I hope I've got you covered. We would laugh, cringe, be shocked, cry but we would hopefully have loads of fun. I will look at my journey growing up, my journey as an adult, my weight loss journey (if it exists), my immigration journey, my journey as an author, my journey as a mom, as a wife. There is so much - we shall take it step by step.
